Important Message from Albury Basketball

14 Oct 2019 by Elisa Arcus

Dear Parents and Players

On behalf of Albury Basketball Association we would like to bring to your attention some concerns we have over recent times regarding inappropriate user behaviour at Lauren Jackson Sports Centre when our Junior and Senior competitions are being played at the centre.

In order to avoid any future accidents and incidents, Albury Basketball Association with the support of LJSC Management recommend the following, and will be enforcing these guidelines during our hiring of the facility ongoing.
1. All children Under the age of 10 must be supervised by a parent or adult at all times. During games ALL Children under the age of 10 (unless competing in games) need to be seated with their parents or with an adult.
2. We ask that it is communicated to children and enforced by parents that NO RUNNING OR HORSEPLAY IS PERMITTED AROUND THE COURTS WHILST GAMES ARE IN PROGRESS OR IN THE CAF?/FOYER AND TOILET AREAS.

3. THERE IS TO BE NO RUNNING OR PLAYING ON THE GRANDSTANDS TO AVOID SERIOUS INJURY TO CHILDREN OR SPECTATORS

4. NO DUNKING IS PERMITTED ON RINGS WHILE THEY ARE LOWERED FOR UNDER 10 COMPETITION.

Albury Basketball Association and Lauren Jackson Centre Staff ask that all parents please make themselves aware of the rules surrounding appropriate behaviour inside the facility and speak openly to your children regarding the above recommendations and assist us by SUPERVISING AND CONTROLLING your children AT ALL TIMES.

Your co-operation and attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated.
